Please consider our heartfelt request for financial support for the rehabilitation of our son. Our little Kubuś (or Jake) was born in heavy asphyxia condition, with inborn pneumonia and brain hypoxia. Later tests discovered that he also suffered from epilepsy and infantile cerebral palsy. Now Kubuś is nine months old, and in spite of daily exercise he is unable to sit, turn over in bed or to lift his head. After recent tests in the Centre of Child's Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Warsaw, Poland, doctors said that he needed immediate, intensive rehabilitation there.
When correct motor activity of a child is restored before it is 12 months old, it has a chance to return to health. At present, Kubuś undergoes rehabilitation four times a day. Daily cost of the treatment approximates PLN 250 (or 65 EUR). The rehabilitation will probably take about three months. Without the assistance of people of good will we will not be able to pay for the therapy.
